Enter 77

Locke, Sayid, Kate and Rousseau continue their quest to find the others camp following the compass bearing of 305 degrees, the number carved on Mr Eko's stick. Sayid hears the sound of a bell and discovers a cow grazing. The cow is follows the sound of a whistle, Sayid follows the cow to a farm house. The farmers emerge and we see that he is the infamous eye patch man seen in the Pearl's video monitor.

At the camp Jin finds a ping pong table in the jungle, a result of the of the hatch implosion. Sawyer, still agitated about the theft of his stash challenges the other camp members to a game in the hope of wining his stash back. If he looses he must not refer to anyone with a nickname for a week.

Sayid decides to venture over to the farm house unarmed with Kate and Locke covering him from afar, he is shot in the shoulder by Mr Eye Patch, who claims that he has crossed his line. Sayid tells him that he is a survivor from a plane crash. Mr Eye Patch takes Sayid into the farmhouse, Kate and Locke follow. While tending to Sayid's wound, My Eye Patch tells them that he is the last surviving member of the Dharma initiative named Mikhail Bakunin, he claimed that there was a purge by the 'hostiles (the others) and that he was allowed to stay because he did not take part in the battle. The station is filled with communications equipment and has a satellite, when asked why the hostiles did not take this equipment Mikhail claimed that it does not work.

In the flashback Sayid is working as a chef in Paris. He called outside by a customer, Sami, who is also an Iraqi to compliment his food. He offers Sayid a job at his restaurant and tells him come over later too see if it is to his liking. When he enters the restaurant he introduced to Sami's wife who he notices has scars covering her arm. She tells Sami "That's him" and Sayid is punched to the floor by Sami and is friends. He awakes tied up in a store room. Sami tells him that Sayid was responsible for torturing his wife in Iraq and tells him to confess. Sayid tells Sami that he has never seen his wife before.

Mikhail continues to tell Kate and Sayid about the hostiles while Locke plays a game of computer chess in a room at the back. Sayid tells Kate that he is lying and begins to tell Mikhail how they killed on of the hostiles. At this point Mikhail says that their game is now over and attacks Sayid. Kate manages to knock Mikhail down and they begin to tie him up. Sayid believes that they are not alone.

Hurley wins the ping pong match, Sawyer claims he was hustled.

Tortured and beaten, Sayid awakes to find Sami's wife sitting before him stroking a cat. She tells him that she rescued the cat after it was tortured by local children. The cat attacks her but she forgives it because it sometimes forgets that it is safe. She tells Sayid to admit what he did to her. Sayid breaks down and apologies for what he did. She forgives him and promises to tell her husband that she made a mistake.

Sayid and Kate find a trap door in the farm house and enter to investigate, leaving Locke to watch over an unconscious Mikhail. Locke is lured away but the chess game he was playing while Kate and Locke are confronted in the basement by Mrs Klugh (ordered Michael to bring Jack, Kate and Sawyer to them). Locke's computer screen begins playing a message by the professor of the Dharma orientation videos, he tells the user to enter the code 77 if they are under attack by the hostiles. As he is about to do that Mikhail holds a knife to his throat. The two sides meet as Mrs Klugh held at gun point by Sayid and Kate, and Locke held by Mikhail go outside the farm house. Klugh speaks to Mikhail in Russian, when she is finished Mikhail shoots her. Locke then manages to take the gun from Mikhail.

Kate packs supplies in the farm house while Locke finally enters the code 77. They then leave the camp with Mikhail as prisoner. He begs to be killed but Sayid refuses to do so. They have a map of electric and water supplies to a village which they believe must belong to the others. Ad they leave the farm house explodes behind them. By entering the code Locke has destroyed their chances of using the communications equipment that would aid their escape. Sayid spots the cat that belonged to Sami's wife.
