Episode 22

Through the Looking Glass Pt 1

Jack leads the camp off the radio tower while Sayid, Bernard and Jin stay to set off their ambush for the others. Sayid declaring that he is ready to die to save everyone.

In the looking Glass, Charlie is subject to a violent interrogation by Greta and Bonnie as to why he is there. He tells them that Juliette told him about the station and is very casual about revealing his plans to turn off the signalling equipment with the knowledge of Desmond's flashback. They call Ben to inform him of their visitor, he decides to send Mikhail there to investigate. He is also aware that his plan to capture the women of the island has been folied. He desperately attempts to contact his men that are approaching the survivors camp unsuccessfully as their radios have been turned off. As the others approach the marked tents Sayid and crew set off the traps killing five of them. Sayid, Jin and Barnard are out numbered by them and captured.

Tom radios Ben to inform him of the current situation. Ben tells them to kill Jin unless they tell him where the camp have gone. Despite Sayid and Jin's united silence, Bernard tells them everything, including the fact that they were warned by Karl. Ben knows that his daughter Alex has betrayed him. He decides to meet the camp at the radio tower to dissuade them from their plan, he tells Alex to come with him.

Jack is on a plane clearly drunk when he rips an obituary from the newspaper. He is later sitting in a car by a bridge crying over the newspaper clipping. He rings a number which is off and diverts to voicemail. He leaves the car and stands on top of the bridge about to jump when he hears a car crash behind him. He runs over to the crash.

Desmond regains consciousness on the boat when Mikhail begins to shoot at him from ashore. He has no option but to dive down to the station. He surfaces within the looking glass to find Charlie tied up. Charlie tells him to hide. The girls demand to know who Charlie was talking to but are distracted when Mikhail surfaces. It is apparent that no one knew the girls were at this station. They tell Mikhail that Ben told them not to tell anyone of their location. He radios Ben to find out why he has been deceived. Ben tells him that it was vital for the security of the island and that he must kill Bonnie and Greta.

Kate tells Sawyer that they should go back to camp to help but Sawyer dismisses the idea including Kate's observations that he has been very distant lately. Later Sawyer tells Jack that he is going back to camp but informs Kate that he does not want to go with her. Juliette offers to go back with him, claiming to know where a stash of guns his hidden. She kisses Jack before she leaves. As they depart Hurley runs after them wanting to join them. Sawyer tells him that his presence will only get them killed and they continue back to camp.

A shaky Jack is at a pharmacy trying to get pills from a prescription. The pharmacist refuses to give him medication, Jack tells her to ring his father who prescribed the medication, she attempts to do so he storms out of the chemist. He goes to the hospital to try to raid the medicine stash when he discovered by another doctor. He tells him that the woman he saved is doing well and that she told him what happened before the accident. She was driving along the bridge when she saw a man about to jump, she then crashed her car, The doctor asks how Jack got to the scene so quickly. When he is accused of being drunk he tells the doctor to get his father down and if he is more drunk than him, then he can fire him.

After trying the same again only to find the voicemail, Jack enters a funeral parlour. The usher asks him if he is a friend or family member. Jack tells him he is neither. The usher informs Jack that he is the only person to have come.

Locke wakes up surrounded by corpses in the ditch where Ben shot him. He can't move his legs but manages to grab a gun which he turns to his own head, he is about to kill himself when Walt appears over the ditch. He tells Locke that he has work to do. Locke begins to smile.
