Ji Yeon

** NOTE: SPOILER FOR THIS EPISODE: This episode contains another variation on the "flash": It is half flashback and half flashforward - but this is not revealed until the end. But for the purposes of this synopsis, it's pointed out from the beginning.

The episode opens on the freighter. Lapidus is bringing food up to Sayid and Desmond in the sick bay, where they are being held captive again after breaking into the radio room. Lapidus walks by a woman sitting in a chair, looking confused - this is Regina. She is sitting there reading her book upside down, which Lapidus points out to her.

On the beach, Jin and Sun discuss the fact that Sayid and Desmond still aren't back yet. They also talk baby names - Jin suggests "Ji Yeon."

FLASHFORWARD: Sun seems to be going into labor - she calls for an ambulance.

FLASHBACK: Jin rushes into a toy store and buys a panda bear - he tells the shop owner that he is rushing to the maternity ward, but he says he doesn't know the gender of the baby yet.

On the beach, Sun talks to Kate, who has just returned with Jack. Kate tells Sun that she doesn't trust the new people, or Juliet.

On the freighter, Desmond and Sayid are eating when someone slides a note under their door. It says "Don't trust the captain."

Back at the beach, Sun confronts Daniel Faraday and asks if he's there to rescue them. Daniel pauses and says "it's not really my call, Sun." Jack and Jin talk over breakfast. Sun walks up and tells Jin, in Korean, "we're going to Locke's camp."

Later, Sun is going through Juliet's stuff, stealing some pre-natal vitamins. Juliet catches her, and Sun admits they are going to Locke's camp. Juliet insists they don't do that. Sun is resistant.

FLASHFORWARD: Sun is admitted to the hospital to have her baby. A nurse sees Sun and asks the other nurse if Sun is one of the Oceanic 6. The Nurse nods 'yes.' Sun is in labor - she asks the doctors to call her husband, Jin.

FLASHBACK: Jin is about to get in a taxi with the panda bear he bought, but he gets a call telling him to hurry to the maternity ward. At that moment, someone gets in his cab and drives off with the panda. Jin rushes back into the toy shop and buys another panda.

Back on the beach, Kate is drawing Sun and Jin a map to Locke's camp. Juliet comes up, insisting again that they not leave - she says Sun and the baby will die if they go to Locke's camp. Juliet finally tells Jin that Sun had an affair - she wasn't even sure the baby was Jin's. Jin is shocked. Sun slaps Juliet big time.

Sun chases after Jin, who ignores her and leaves to go fishing with Bernard. While fishing, Bernard tells Jin that they have good karma - they must be the good guys.

On the freighter, Ray the doctor takes Sayid and Desmond to see the captain, Gault. They notice the helicopter is gone and are told that Lapidus is "running an errand." They suddenly see Regina walk to the edge of the ship and jump off, covered in heavy chains. Sayid and Desmond shout, but nobody goes to stop her. They meet Gault.

Gault tells Sayid and Desmond that his crew is suffering from "a heightened case of cabin fever." Gault tells the guys that they are trying to turn around, but there's a saboteur on the boat. He also tells them the man giving him his orders is Charles Widmore.

Gault pulls out the black box recorder from Oceanic Flight 815. He tells Sayid and Desmond that Ben Linus faked the crash and put 324 dead bodies with the wreckage - it was all a set up.

On the beach, Juliet apologizes to Sun but says she had to reveal the truth about the affair - she wants to keep Sun alive.

FLASHFORWARD: Sun gives birth to a baby daughter.

On the freighter, Ray the doctor leads Sayid and Desmond to their new sleeping area - which is covered in cockroaches and has a huge blood stain on the wall. Ray calls for the janitor to come clean up the mess. The janitor walks over and is introduced as "Kevin Johnson" - but it's actually Michael. Sayid and Desmond are shocked.

At the beach, Jin forgives Sun for her affair - he says he understands why she did it. He was a different person then.

FLASHBACK: Jin walks into a maternity ward with the panda bear. He turns the panda over to a guard by the door, saying he represents Paik Automotive and he is offering it as a gesture of goodwill to the baby's grandfather. A nurse asks Jin if he was the father. He says "no" and that he's "only been married for 2 months."

FLASHFORWARD: Sun is at home. The doorbell rings - it's Hurley, dressed in a suit. Hurley meets Sun's baby and says she looks just like Jin. Hurley says "should we go?" They leave. and go to a cemetery. They stand at Jin's grave (which says he died on 22 September 2004 (the date of the plane crash). Sun speaks to Jin's grave, saying she named the baby "Ji Yeon."
