Ross Kemp is best known for his portrayal of Grant Mitchell in EastEnders. His father was a senior detective with the Metropolitan Police force, and as a result crime has always fascinated Ross. Since leaving the soap in 1999, Ross starred in television series Without Motive, In Defence and, in 2002, Ultimate Force.
In January 2008 Sky One broadcast Ross Kemp in Afghanistan, a ground breaking five part series following the daily lives of the Royal Anglian Regiment, deployed in ones of the world's most volatile regions Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
