I spent my school years at St Thomas Aquinas High in Chorlton. I wasn't especially academic, but I always had a knack of finding out the latest news and gossip. My strength was English and so after my A Levels I did a journalism degree.
After that I applied for a job as a trainee reporter with a trade magazine in West Sussex, which gave me a good grounding. From there I moved on to a variety of newspapers down south, reporting mainly crime and human interest stories, eventually moving to GMG's Wilmlsow Express.
I joined Channel L in August 2004 as a reporter and was promoted to Content Editor last October. I live in Chorlton with my partner and two kittens.
