I joined Channel L Television in November 2009 after 17 years of working in newspaper journalism.
My final four years in newsprint were spent as Editor of the Oldham Advertiser, during which time the newspaper collected several awards from the Newspaper Society.
Before any of that happened, I graduated in biology from London Polytechnic - now better known as London Metropolitan University.
I live in south London and I like fresh coffee accompanied by a Danish pastry. If I ever win the lottery - a bit more than a tenner - I would buy a house in Italy.
